_{YAY! Animated Time-Travel Comic!}

This comic references three of the most iconic (and my personal favorites) Time-Travel movies/TV-Series, namely, Back to the Future, Bill & Ted Excellent Journey and Quantum Leap.

I was a little disappointed when the episode "It's About Time" aired, because the spell Twilight used was very limited, and, in my opinion, the "Time Travel" Trope has A Lot of potential. I liked the episode, but is just that I thought it could have been better. And then the idea for this comic came up.

The most difficult part of this comic wasn't the animation, but how to make obvious what characters are portraying Twilight and Pinkie. I hope it's obvious enough for those who had seen those movies/shows.

It's still difficult for me to create facial expressions from scratch, so I used some ones I find fitting, from the #MLP-VectorClub:

Since I've learned that massive GIF's can break havoc on some browsers, I didn't hide text in this comic. But in case you were wondering what is reading Twilight, let's just say that Twilight Gott to know how to Time Travel wink wink

Vectors created in Inkscape (if created) and composition, animation and effects in GIMP.

And since this is a GIF animation, the image is in Indexed Mode and Floyd-Steinberg Dithering in order to manage better the color loss. That's why you can see some "grain" in the picture. A 60ms delay between "magic" frames and 1000ms otherwise, and "combine" method for the animation.

Again, feel free to correct my grammar, syntax, etc. I'm still learning, so any feedback is welcome.

You don't like the fact that the time travel spell was limited? Ummm...I should explain this.

"if time travel is easy, whenever anything goes wrong, all you need to do is go back in time and tell yourself what’s going to happen so you can prevent it. Which removes the teeth out of any danger the characters might encounter." - Me

Maybe I should rephrase that:

"I was a little disappointed when the episode "It's About Time" aired, because I expected some paradoxes, a more convoluted timeline and more 'time traveling' in general."

The way they handled the Predestination Paradox was good, but I expected something like "Twilight travels back in time and interferes with her past self, without noticing it". Maybe I'm too spoiled...

And about "going back in time to prevent things from happening so it removes the teeth out of any danger the characters might encounter", I would recommend you The End of Eternity by Isaac Asimov, about [Non-Spoiler-Synopsis]
