Ponyville Schoolhouse 3D - MPO for the 3DS by tamalesyatole Ponyville Schoolhouse 3D - MPO for the 3DS by tamalesyatole
Another 3D image for the Nintendo 3DS.
:bulletyellow: Cross-eyed version here

Summary: This is a proof of concept for sharing 3DS-compatible images easily. A MPO file in a public folder in a Public Folder in Dropbox, accessible through the 3DS browser through the QR Code Reader.

The image is the same "Ponyville Schoolhouse Background" but now in 3D without glasses!

I modified the original vector, exported the images and then I just created the file with StereoPhoto Maker, uploaded it to my Dropbox, and created a QR code with the QR Code Generator from the ZXing Project for the .MPO file's URL.

I apologize to those that will not be able to see it, but, as I said, it's just a proof of concept for testing different aspects of these technologies (and these are easy and fast to create too)

DOUBTS, ISSUES OR PROBLEMS, PLEASE COMMENT!

INSTRUCTIONS

:bulletred: You need a 3DS with connection to Internet

:bulletgreen: Power on the 3DS
:bulletgreen: Press L or R to open the Camera
:bulletgreen: Touch the QR icon in the touchscreen (bottom left, like a chessboard )
:bulletgreen: Align the grid with the code to read the code.
:bulletgreen: Press A twice.

Now the browser should start, and after a moment, you'll see the image in a subtle 3D!

You can save the picture in your 3DS so you don't need to repeat the process.

Kids! That's why you don't write descriptions instead of sleeping!

Thanks! Corrected. An in my defense, it worked for the other one :D

^^ It would be nice if there was a demonstrative pic or video on how this looks like for those with no such fancy technology unless it's too much work to obtain one.

Would you prefer "Parallel view" or "Cross-eyed view"?

For example, I can easily see Cross-eyed, but Parallel ones, only if they are small.

Cross eyed, please. I get that to work easily unlike parallel. And thanks for doing that. :D

Very nice indeed. It's a shame wide images like these tend to be a bit of a strain on cross-eyed viewing, but the depth mapping is pretty darn good.
